People Focused Project Management Survey
Oct 09, 2024
What’s arguably the most important part of your project delivery team? It’s the PEOPLE! That’s why we’ve decided to conduct project management industry research specifically related to the people in project management.
That’s where you come in!
We want to hear from project management professionals about recruiting, hiring and training project management teams.
Take the short industry survey
Wondering what is covered in the survey?
Here’s the four main areas:
- Talent Acquisition: There are key themes of the challenges and focus that organizations focus on for project management talent acquisition. This includes what type of partnerships they have to recruit potential team members. The survey also focuses on how often organizations are looking to hire and grow their project management teams.
- Hiring: The survey asks respondents to share what the process of hiring project management teams look like including the level of experience organizations are looking for in team members. It also highlights the type of roles organizations are looking to fill in project management including contract, temp to hire or FTE.
- Training: The survey discusses the areas in which organizations invest in training project management teams or what individuals do to ensure continuous learning regarding project management trends and practices. It discusses the monetary investment as well as the type of training that are used.
- HR Teams and External Partners: The survey discusses who is responsible for sourcing project management team members for organizations and how effective they are at filling open positions with qualified talent that delivers.
But, why is The PMO Squad conducting this research?
It’s important for organizations to be able to benchmark where their organization is at regarding their most important and crucial piece to their project delivery success – the people! With the 2024 PMO Research Report we published in March 2024, it provided the project management industry a glimpse into where organizations stand today. That’s our goal with conducting this research. We will publish the results of this survey in the coming months to give organizations a benchmark into what recruiting, hiring and training project management teams looks like for organizations today.
